I have some questions I want to ask every American… are you an American? Do you recognize the US Constitution to be the law of the land? Do you believe in the rule of law? If you answered yes, that’s good. Now let me ask… are you a Republican or a Democrat? Think about that before you answer. Can you be an American and participate in divisive partisan politics? The simple answer is yes… but, the answer is not that simple.

Hi folks! I found a very interesting article at the Washington Examiner regarding Julian Assange and his take on the Democrat Party. Greetings… this is your host Phil Glass.

On Saturday, June 24, 2017, there was a Headline in the Washington Examiner that caught my eye which stated this:

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange explains why the Democratic Party is ‘doomed’

by Daniel Chaitin | Jun 24, 2017, 1:59 PM Saturday

Please stay with me. What I’m about to discuss has relevancy to the Washington Examiner article.

The Examiner stated this:

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange on Saturday predicted the demise of the Democratic Party.

In a post online, shared by his Twitter account, Assange argued that the party has been “consumed” by “hysteria about Russia,” something he called a “political dead end.” It is upon this “narrative” that the “party’s elite” attempts to keep a hold on power, he said.

“Without the ‘we didn’t lose’ ‘Russia won’ narrative the party’s elite and those who exist under its patronage would be purged for being electorally incompetent and ideologically passé,” Assange said.

In other words, what Assange is saying is that the Democratic Party is incompetent and obsolete.

The article goes on to talk about how WikiLeaks is responsible for the publication of stolen documents from the DNC. It also says that based on intelligence reports, WikiLeaks and Guccifer2.0 were used by the Russians to undermine the 2016 elections in favor of Trump. Assange says that the “Trump-Russian collusion narrative” being investigated by a number of probes and consistently reported by the media is unfounded, and “we are left with the Democratic establishment blaming the public for not liking the truth about Hillary.

Now… here it is with respect to the democrat political party.

According to the Examiner article, He (Assange) ended his post by calling on the Democratic base to start a new party…

Assange said in his post, “The Democratic base should move to start a new party since the party elite shows no signs that they will give up power,”

Here’s a news flash… neither the Democrats or Republicans want to give up power.

Now… here’s where I weigh in with regard to addressing Constitutional Enforcement and the Divisive Nature of Political Parties.

At the close of the Constitutional Convention, a woman asked Ben Franklin what the founders had given us.  Ben Franklin replied by saying:  “A republic, if you can keep it.”

Now, what did Ben Franklin mean by those words, “If you can keep it”? He said, “You” have to keep it! You, the American people are the keepers!

Keeping the Constitution doesn’t mean we sit around listening to the politicians, the news anchors and the political commentators deciding for us, the course of America. How is it, that you, the American people have any input or influence by watching and talking to the television, or… voting for the lesser of two evils? Americans have forsaken their most basic civic duties. By default, the politicians, the news anchors, and the political commentators have been making our decisions for us. It’s time for the American people to disengage from Castle-in-the-Sky politics and get engaged with the political process and begin to direct the future course of America.

Franklin knew it was now up to the American people to keep the Republic by enforcing the Constitution. He knew, so long as the American people would stay engaged enforcing the Constitution, and controlling their government, the republic would prosper.

What’s sad is this… the American people have relinquished control of their government… a massive amount of control, giving more and more control to the government and political parties. Not just the Federal Government but State Governments as well. There are many reasons why the American people have lost control but the obvious reasons are a lack of genuine participation, the lack of knowledge and the lack of explicit patriotism. For decades, participation has been dictated by the political parties.

The knowledge of our history and founding along with the value of patriotism has been obscured through outright attacks and political correctness. Why has it become so politically correct to conceal or completely dismiss the knowledge of our founding, its principles, and the value of patriotism?

It’s become very obvious in America that some Americans are either ashamed, or afraid to express patriotism. The American people, both young and old alike, are being indoctrinated through our schools, the media, and even politicians, into believing American patriotism has no value but then we are led to believe that somehow there is value in a sort of global patriotism.

The U.S. Constitution was drafted in such a way that would give the people control over their government… not the government controlling the people. Our Constitution may not be perfect but it’s the best ever devised by fallible men, making America the first country to ever exist devoid an obvious monarch or dictator. Americans should embrace the Constitution. What good is the Constitution if we ignore its value?

The U.S. Constitution is irrelevant and means nothing unless we’re willing to follow through with enforcement. Enforcement is what’s lacking. So… let me ask, who’s the Enforcer..? Ultimately it’s you… We the People!

If you hand over enforcement to the government, political parties, and politicians, they will underhandedly and systematically shred the Constitution. The American people will never control their government unless they consciously and genuinely make the decision that they will enforce the Constitution. Constitutional enforcement will never manifest through protesting, letter writing, or Castle-in-the-Sky politics. Based on what you hear in the media, America is dangerously divided but there is hope. That hope can be found within the American Precinct.

As a nation, we need to edify, not obfuscate Constitutional enforcement. As a nation, if we refuse to edify the value of patriotism, virtue, love of country, our founding principles, and American values we will ultimately destroy ourselves and the Constitution. Hopefully, Americans will soon recognize where they’ve missed the boat.

You, the American people have way more power than you’re led to believe. Whether the American people realize it or not, they have the ability to control their government exclusive of the political party system.  As a matter of fact, George Washington did not agree with establishing a party system because of its divisive nature and he feared that, over time, parties would become an enemy of the republic.

If you doubt me, DON’T! I’m about to read his very words. If you listen closely, you will hear the warning that is… today, unfolding before your very eyes. There will also be a link on this episode page that will take you to George Washington’s entire speech to prove there is nothing here that’s out of context. George had quite a bit to say on this subject… and its very telling this was in the forefront of his mind.

Before I get into this, I need to give a disclosure. For the sake of comprehension, I’ll be adding additional synonyms for some of the words used by Washington … so, please bear with me as I quote his very words while adding some of my own for clarity.

Now, as for political parties, this is what George Washington said in his farewell speech:

And I quote…

All obstructions (or obstacles) to the execution of the laws, all combinations (or groupings, amalgamations) and associations (or alliances), under whatever plausible (or conceivable) character, with the real design (or intention) to direct, control, counteract, or awe the regular deliberation and action of the constituted authorities, are destructive of this fundamental principle, and of fatal tendency. They serve to organize faction (or political party), to give it an artificial (or false) and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party, often a small but artful (or deceitful) and enterprising minority of the community; and, according to the alternate triumphs of different parties, to make the public administration the mirror of the ill-concerted and incongruous (or inappropriate) projects of faction (or political party), rather than the organ (or structure) of consistent and wholesome plans digested by common counsels and modified by mutual interests. However combinations or associations of the above description may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely, in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning (or sly, sneaky), ambitious, and unprincipled (or deceitful) men will be enabled (or empowered) to subvert (or undermine, overthrow) the power of the people and to usurp (or seize) for themselves the reins (or control) of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.

End quote…

I would venture to guess that more than 95% of Americans don’t know George Washington said this in his farewell address. Or, it was overlooked. This was a warning given us by our first president. And… the very thing he described in his speech have manifest in a very real way. For instance, he said political parties serve to organize faction (or political party), to give it an artificial (or false) and extraordinary force; to put, in the place of the delegated will of the nation the will of a party.

But, that wasn’t all he said. Further into his speech, he went on to say the following:

And I quote…

I have already intimated (or to make known) to you the danger of parties in the State, with particular reference to the founding of them on geographical discrimination’s. Let me now take a more comprehensive view, and warn you in the most solemn (or earnest, intense, fervent, grave) manner against the baneful (or destructive, pernicious, deadly, poisonous) effects of the spirit of party generally.

This spirit, unfortunately, is inseparable from our nature, having its root in the strongest passions of the human mind. It exists under different shapes in all governments, more or less stifled, controlled, or repressed; but, in those of the popular form, it is seen in its greatest rankness, and is truly their worst enemy.

End quote.

George Washington went on to say more in his speech regarding the destructive nature of political parties.

In his farewell address, George Washington dedicated a fair amount of time on the subject of political parties and the inherent dangers. I agree with Washington’s assessment that political parties are divisive. We’ve all been duped as a consequence of the divisive narrative of politicians, news anchors, and political commentators.

Parties and other political groups are nothing more than private associations where membership is required. George Washington preferred a unified America… not divided political parties. Unify denotes of one mind. To marry, merge, or fuse together. Political parties denote division!

We already see that 43% of Americans identify politically as independent. Political Parties are not required to hold elections. Americans need to unify against the very thing destroying America. I do not believe the American people are as divided as the political parties, media, and polls portray.

As for the majority of Americans, I prefer to believe they are not Leftists, Socialists, Progressives, Communists, Marxists, or Democrats… I prefer to believe they are not Anarchists, Conservatives, Ultra-Conservatives, Right Wingers or Republicans. The majority of Americans are none of those things.

Ronald Reagan said: We are in short, “We the people,” that breed called Americans.

We are Americans first, and we stand by the US Constitution… our Constitution! The United States of America is a Republic with a Federal Government, limited in power as enumerated in Article I, Section 8 of our Constitution. If we ignore the Constitution, we ignore who we are… we ignore our heritage… and we ignore the rule of law. We need to lay aside the notion that political parties and other factions will unite us as Americans. We need to bring into focus, the business of the precinct, uniting Americans precinct-by-precinct with emphasis on American principles and our Constitution.

You’re probably asking yourself, what is this business of the precinct? This folks is where local people are actively engaged running their government at the grass roots level. What we have today is a consequence of divisive party politics and a lack of knowledge. Over the years, the knowledge of the True Business of the Precinct has been lost. True representation of, by, and for the people can only be accomplished at the precinct level. The big question is… will the American people lay aside the partisan divide and be American? And, are the American people willing to learn and educate themselves? To understand our future purpose, you must understand our past. Our founding fathers could have easily established a monarchy but they didn’t… thank God! They established a representative republic and put it in your hands.

The problems we face today will persist until the people get involved in a real way. We must work together to engage the American people to make sensible decisions on policy, at the local level, based on the knowledge of our “Founding Principles”. In future episodes, I’ll be explaining how the American people can come together in a real way to correct divisive politics in a non-partisan way by formulating strategies at the precinct level.

That’s all I have for today. I hope you’ve enjoyed our time together. Until next time, please share this page with friends and family using the share buttons on this podcast page. Learn together in truth… learn everything you can about the founding of America. You’ll be astounded!
